This is a TJCS Members-only Event

We are excited to announce the Tokai Japan Canada Society's (TJCS) exclusive boat race viewing event!

Boat racing is a unique public sport that originated right here in Japan.

For this event, we have reserved the exclusive VIP facility ROKU, allowing you to enjoy the thrill of the races in total comfort.


A representative from Boat Race Tokoname will give us an insider's look into the world of boat racing - covering its history, how the races work, and tips on picking a winner - making it easy and fun even for absolute beginners.

Bonus Seminar!

In addition, the TJCS Business Committee will hold a brief mini-seminar (approx. 20 minutes) on international business. It is a fantastic opportunity to gain business insights while networking with fellow members.

Let's Keep Ourselves Fueled

You are welcome to bring food and drinks to consume inside ROKU, and you are also welcome to try the on-site food court and cafés.


Please note that food and drink will not be provided by TJCS.

Some of the dishes offered by vendors on-site.

Outside of the seminar and race presentations, feel free to spend your time as you like.

Cost: FREE
Eligibility: TJCS Members Only
Capacity: 30 People (First come, first served)

Application Deadline

September 25th (Fri) at 6:00 PM, via the event application form on this page.

*Applications will close once the capacity is reached.

Access & Parking

By car: Free parking is available for 2,000 vehicles.

By Train: 6-minute walk from Tokoname Station on the Meitetsu Tokoname Line.

About Food & Drink

Food is not provided, but you may bring food into the venue.

Please bring your own drinks. Alcohol is okay too (but can only be consumed in the vip ROKU room).

You may also purchase food at the on-site cafeteria or cafés.

Please note that bottles and cans, from drinks you've brought, must be taken home for disposal.

Don't drink and drive!
