Kariya Street Hockey Event

A fun day for the whole family with good ol' Canadian street hockey.

Join us for the annual Kariya International Friendship Association (KIFA) Street Hockey Tournament and Field Day.

There will be lessons for the kids (or first-timers) and a fun tournament (with prizes!)


  • Must be elementary Grade 5 or older to play.
  • Please wear sports shirt and shoes.
  • Hockey sticks and balls will be provided.
  • Please bring some drinks, some snacks or your own bento lunch, if you need.


※Injury during the event would be covered by insurance, but please join this event at your own risk.

Event Details:

This event will proceed in light rain. However, if the weather forecast as of midday on Saturday, November 7 indicates rain on Sunday, November 8, the event will be canceled. In the event of cancellation, we will notify registered participants by email and announce it on the TJCS website.

Date: November 8, 2026 (Sun)

Time: 10:00 ~ 15:00 (Reception starts 9:30~)

Where: Mississauga Park, Kariya

2-4 Hajodonishi Machi, Kariya [MAP]

Cost: FREE

Limited to 50 people. First come, first served.

Bring:

  • your own drinks and a bento
  • snacks and extra food if you have a big appetite
  • street hockey sticks (if you have them)
  • wear sneakers, etc.

Included: Hockey sticks and balls.

Tokai Japan Canada Society (TJCS) will hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 1, 2026 (Sun). This year's AGM will be held on a Sunday afternoon in order to accommodate as many Members as possible.
