Camping with Canadians in Aichi, Gifu, and Mie
The annual TJCS Camping trip is open to anyone (non-members too) and is a great family-friendly event that is also fun for the party animals.
This year, Camp Canada will return to Ooyodo Fureai Camping Ground in Meiwa, Mie Prefecture.
The event spans two days (with a one-night stay) and a variety of communal activities for the kids and adults alike.
Date: Sep. 12th & 13th (Sat/Sun)
Place: Ooyodo Fureai Camping Ground (Meiwa, Mie)
Registration deadline for Camp Canada is September 2nd (Wed) at 11:00PM.

*Spouses/partners of TJCS members may join at the Member price.
Camp fees cover the cost of campground, campfire, activities, prizes, garbage disposal, transportation of equipment, etc.

Other Stuff!
You'll need to bring...
- your own food and drinks for dinner and breakfast
- snacks for between meals and the campfire
- sleeping bag, pillow, blankets
- cooking utensils, cups, plates, utensils
- Hot showers are available 24 hours.
- BBQ equipment sets can be ordered in advance at the campsite. Please let us know if you are interested. TJCS will handle the order on your behalf.
Please note the following...
- Rain or Shine Event
Other than a typhoon (or other major happening), this event will be held regardless of rain or other poor weather conditions. - Though some equipment is available for rent (such as blankets and pillows), you might want to bring some of your own supplies. Bungalows have wooden flooring.
- Please bring your own cooking, eating utensils, cups, plates, and napkins since TJCS will not provide these items (for eco-purposes).
- TJCS will provide BBQ Grills and charcoal for cooking, but you have to bring your own food and drinks. A convenience store and other shops are located about 15 minutes away.
- Campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the campsite.
- Please prepare exact change
After making your booking, we will confirm the total camp and accommodation fees for your group. We ask that you bring the exact amount of cash to the campsite. - Cancellations Policy
TJCS makes advance preparations at the campsite based on the number of reservations. Please understand and cooperate as TJCS will be resonsible for cancellation fees according to the campsite's cancellation policy.
(Cancellation fees are 20% of the fee for cancellations made 2 to 7 days prior, 50% for cancellations made the day before, and 100% for cancellations on the day of arrival. For meat and other food items, the cancellation fee is 100% for cancellations made from the day of arrival up to 3 days prior.)

Day 1: Sep 12th (Sat)
- start arriving around 1:00 pm
- afternoon activities (swimming)
- scavenger hunt & games
- prepare your dinner and eat together
- campfire after dark
Day 2: Sep 13th (Sun)
- prepare your breakfast and eat together
- go for a swim or a short hike (if there's time)
- clean up and go home
- check-out time is 11:00am
Between prepared activities, there will be lots of time for hiking, swimming and exploring!
