The TJCS Needs You!

Volunteers are needed to keep us running...

The TJCS is a 100% volunteer organization.

All of the wonderful events we hold are organized by people like you. Without volunteers, the TJCS would not exist.

Notwithstanding our achievements over the past decade, we are always in need of more volunteer involvement.

Here is a listing of our committees which are always looking for energetic, new members:

  • Basic translation (mostly English to Japanese)
Business Committee
  • Planning and organizing business programs (bi-monthly seminars)
  • Planning and organizing bi-monthly meet-and-greet
Communications Committee
  • Newsletter Editor (1 native English, 1 native Japanese)
  • Translation support (basic announcements; some website content)
Membership Committee
  • Handling membership enquiries and payments at various social events.
  • Assist in recruiting new members.
Cultural Committee
  • Planning and organizing cultural themed events either introducing Canadian culture to our Japanese hosts or Japanese culture to Canadian residents in the Tokai Region.
The TJCS is not an event management company, but rather a community of like-minded individuals planning events for each other with the aim of fostering international communication and camaraderie.

Whatever your interest, we urge you to get involved.
